What our people say
"We love going to Upper Sturt Playgroup! It has been an awesome way for us to connect with others in the community."
Upper Sturt
"Playgroup is one of the reasons I enjoy being a stay-at-home mum! The regular socialisation, conversations and easy catch-ups that my children and I get from attending Playgroup are the highlight of our week!"
Fishtails Playgroup Mount Gambier
"We LOVE Playgroup! My mum has been taking her grandchildren (including my children) to Playgroup for more than 17 years and she plans on attending for at least another five."
The Corner Playgroup
"We've met some lovely people and made some life-long friends through attending Playgroup."
Koolyangarra Playgroup
"My children and I love Playgroup! I truly believe it does connect our community and it enables us to gain strong friendships. I have met and am still close friends with many of the mums from the Playgroups I've attended."
Barker Kindergarten Playgroup
"My family is involved in a small Community Playgroup where we share various fun activities for children who are babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We are lucky enough to use our local kindergarten, which is very helpful for the transition to kindy. Playgroup is a fun, friendly environment that helps families create life long friendships."

A playgroup is more than just a weekly catch up.
At playgroup you might see messy play, painting, sensory trays, block building, puzzles, dress-ups and plenty of outdoor exploring. Children develop confidence, social skills and early learning foundations through simple, meaningful play experiences.
For parents and carers, playgroup is a space to meet others, share experiences, swap ideas and feel supported. It is often where friendships begin and local networks are built.
Every playgroup looks a little different because each community is unique. What they all share is a welcoming space where everyone belongs.
If you have been thinking about joining a playgroup, this is your sign. Come along, stay for a cuppa and see what happens when children and families connect through play.

The early years are an important time for learning and growth.
From birth to three, babies’ brains develop rapidly, shaped by everyday
interactions like talking, playing, reading and singing with the people
who care for them.
Every cuddle, every babble, every game of peekaboo helps your little
one make sense of the world and their place in it.
It all adds up… not just today, but for life.

Yesterday, our Intergenerational Playgroup Facilitator, Sophie, hosted a group of fabulous coordinators for a PlayForever training, networking, and brainstorming day. 🧠🧁💜Making vital connections, coordinators were able to share ideas, obstacles, and achievements in the intergenerational playgroup space, whilst achieving their PlayForever training certificates. Learning and free muffins? Sounds like a great day to us!

How many times can you flip your pancakes? 🥞
It`s Pancake Day today, so get your milk, flour and eggs ready for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
It`s a great opportunity to cook with your little one - mixing the batter, helping to count down before tossing the pancake - and managing emotions by turning tears into laughter if the pancake ends up on the floor or ceiling!
